Another neat okay, from Old Shakey! Baugher's website lists this bird as going to the boneyard at D-M AFB in November 1972...

Another sad end to a proud bird. From what I understand the bone yards are required to remove the factory data plate when they scrap the birds.

Yes for sure. It is sad to see pictures of the rows of them leaning back on their tails with the engines removed awaiting the smelter... ?

 

Really? I wonder why. A government inventory thing?
