I wish it could speak, Ill let the pictures do the talking, I dont know much about it, possible covered over Geneva cross or Tactical marking on back, front looks like there was a rank scratched in. One full name Chester J Barnes and Howard 2922 and Weldon on liner.post-140227-0-05624400-1515866407_thumb.jpeg

The shell also has a similar camo wash , if Im not mistaken the colour is very close to the type used by the marines In WW2

Pat, thanks for sharing those photos. I’ve taken a couple of pictures of it in the past but not with good sunlight, so this for me is the first time seeing what’s going on with that shell as well.
