triplecanopy Posted January 11, 2018 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2018 Here is an example of a Post WWII German made US parachute badge manufactured by KALKA of Augsburg, Germany. The feathering style on the wings is different and the canopy is more three dimensional and thicker than normal. This is a die struck badge and is relatively uncommon. In fact, I have only seen this one. (perhaps I don't get out enough) It has a silver plate finish on it and the metal may be brass or zinc. KALKA made numerous badges and insignia for the Federal German Military.
Proud Kraut Posted January 11, 2018 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2018 Yes, made by KALKA in Augsburg. These were sold over decades in silver and black, metal and cloth, all levels. After KALKA quit (manufacturing?) selling military insignia, the remaining KALKA insignia are distributed by a different online seller now.
