Legio3arty Posted December 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 15, 2017 I recently picked up these 43rd Div patches in a lot from a veteran's estate. Several of the items are named to him, or have his laundry mark stamped in them including his Ike jacket shirts, trousers, duffel bag, and 1943 front-seam M1 with it's 1942 front-vent Westinghouse liner, both in outstanding condition. The patches are in rough shape, especially the bullion one on the jacket, but I thought someone here might appreciate seeing them. Teamski Posted December 15, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 15, 2017 The bullion ones are German made. I think the other one is US made. This uniform dates from the 1950's when the 43rd was stationed in Germany. -Ski

doyler Posted December 17, 2017 Share #4 Posted December 17, 2017 Was the veteran in the 743 Ordnance Bn? Can you post a full front view of the uniform? I'm thinking the patches are Japanese made. The bullion reminds me of occupied Japan work. The stripes also look Japanese made. The odd weave and colors. Very nice items

This indicating wear post 1951, which was when the Winged Victory Division was in Germany.
doyler Posted December 19, 2017 Share #7 Posted December 19, 2017 If more photos would be posted possibly we could see the uniform or if any tags are in the pockets to date the uniform itself?
