Mr.Jerry Posted December 11, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2017 I just picked up this awesome 1940's "Defense" pinball machine at a military collectors' estate auction. Great military graphics on this thing. early piece, No "flippers" on these models. Now I just need to find some space for it!

doyler Posted December 11, 2017 Share #6 Posted December 11, 2017 How did the rest of the auction go? By the photos looked to be a variety of items.
Mr.Jerry Posted December 11, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted December 11, 2017 Thanks guys! I have not fired it up yet, but the auctioneer and a friend of mine who works with him said that it did light up and turn on and ball launched. I have a coin-op friend I want to have look it over, as old electronics are best fired up slowly. But given the age if the rubber the bumpers are still in pretty good shape, we'll see how "playable" it is.

Longbranch Posted December 12, 2017 Share #11 Posted December 12, 2017 Great machine!!! There were a few other similar pinball machines produced during WW2 with patriotic design schemes, such as "Midway" produced by the United Manufacturing Co. Mr.Jerry Posted December 12, 2017 Author Share #12 Posted December 12, 2017 From what I can tell this one was made in 1940.
