American Graffiti Posted December 6, 2017 Share #7 Posted December 6, 2017 That is probably a Vietnam 'Stoner' project, if you get my drift. Defo not Korean AG
ArchangelDM Posted December 7, 2017 Share #8 Posted December 7, 2017 The paint job has definitely got age to it . As far as the actual camo scheme, taking a stab at it I would say Vietnam era although I have not seen this type of camo pattern before. In my opinion its got enough age to it to be a legit camo. Blacksmith Posted December 7, 2017 Share #9 Posted December 7, 2017 My vote is a toy paint job. While they did put some fine line camo shapes on it, black is a highly ineffective 'color' for field camo. It creates a lot of contrast, and - IMHO - would make this helmet easier to see than if they'd have left it its original solid OD. Having been trained by the Army in camo techniques and application, I would fervently encourage the enemy to wear this helmet.
644td Posted December 7, 2017 Author Share #10 Posted December 7, 2017 What about your thoughts as the helmet being an early Vietnam advisor helmet, We started in the mid fifties in that roll? Just a thought. Marty
