P-59A Posted December 3, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 3, 2017 I found these at the flea market today. They are HI-PALS with the vibram sole and spike protection. They were issued, but over all good condition and a 10W.
P-59A Posted December 3, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted December 3, 2017 The red ink stamp is new to me, but they are dated 6-66. The date stamp on the ankle instead of the tongue is also odd. The tongue has the spike protective on it in red ink.

FIGMO Posted December 4, 2017 Share #4 Posted December 4, 2017 Nice find! Hi Pals jungle boots aren't that common and I believe 6-66 is a fairly early date for 3rd pattern jungle boots. The earliest 3rd patterns I've come across are dated 11-65.

pawtwo Posted August 30, 2018 Share #6 Posted August 30, 2018 When Spike protection was introduced?I have a pair of unissued C.I.C made jungle boots. 3rd pattern, vibram sole, no spike protective stamp either on tongue or tag. They have distinctive sitching at the heels. They're dated 6-66. I saw that some 6-66 dated boots have additional stamps on instruction tag insetead of printed information. Does it means that June 1966 was trasitional period when they introduced spike protective feature?
