Naval Uniform Questions

Got these items from an Estate sale and wondering if anyone can shed some light on what I have and if there is any value to the items.

 

Here are some more pictures. The petty officer dress jacket also came with the paints. the P Coat and the Petty Oficer jacket are both from Jacob Reed Sons

Appear to be 1950s Naval Academy or Navy ROTC uniforms. Not a lot of demand by collectors because this style of uniform has been unchanged for 100 years.

Found your Naval Officer in the US Naval Academy Register of Alumni. Donald Prescott Grinnell graduated in the Class of 1961 from the Naval Academy. He was born in Massachusetts in 1936 and in 1969 lived in Milwaukee Wisconsin. That should date your uniforms to 1957-1961.

Grinnell is a famous name in American history. Google "Grinnell expedition". There were two of them in the early 1850's. Maybe this guy was a descendant.
