Teamski Posted November 20, 2017 Share #2 Posted November 20, 2017 That might be an award badge of some sort. -Ski
atb Posted November 20, 2017 Share #3 Posted November 20, 2017 That might be an award badge of some sort. -Ski It is one of the two DUI designs worn by the non-color bearing units of the 2d Armored Division over the years. The other design that has been used is a "patch-type" DUI. The patch-type was approved for wear in 1969, although the unit wore patch-type variations before that and before the first design that is the subject of this thread was approved. The approved patch-type replaced this first design.

patches Posted December 12, 2019 Share #6 Posted December 12, 2019 And here's one being worn in 1966, think he may be an MP (note the Dark Green Cravat) Strange thing about this is the NCBU DI is not depicted in the 1966 published Gene Gurney's Pictorial History of the U.S. Army, the other's are, but not this division nor for that matter the 1st Armd Div.
