silverplate Posted November 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2017 Thought I would share my newest addition to my cartridge collection with my fellow collectors. It's a full box of .30 caliber tracer rounds made by Remington Arms in 1941. Prior to WWII, all military tracer rounds were made by Frankford Arsenal. In 1940, Remington was given contracts to produce tracer rounds, and in 1941 production also started at Western Cartridge Co. and Denver Ordnance Plant. Total M1 Tracer production from 1941-1945 exceeded 462 million rounds. This box differs from wartime boxes in that it has a double lid with thumb notch to open, and the label is longer. All rounds have a red tip and 1941 headstamp.

usmce4 Posted November 16, 2017 Share #9 Posted November 16, 2017 Here's a box of LC '42s. Unfortunately the top of the box is missing (I shrink wrap them to preserve them) but it's full Art
