I was fortunate to pick up this cocktail shaker with the markings for the Indiana National Guard's aviation section. I believe that it dates from the early to mid-1930s. In the late 1930s and early 1940s, the aircraft had the markings of 113th Observation Squadron.

Below is a photo of a Douglas O-38B with the same insignia. This photo was taken in the early 1930s.

That's a neat item,can't be too many of those around.Are there any makers marks on it?

Thanks! It has a hallmark for Queen City Silver which was in Cincinnati.

It will give your martinis a bit of a "vintage" taste if you use it.





I tried to open it, but I think it is stuck together. I researched these vintage shakers online and the advice to unstick them is to soak them in warm water. I'm not sure if I want to try that until I learn more about them.


I'm wondering if there were matching glasses or a serving tray?
