Commander, Amphibious Squadron (COMPHIBRON) 11 is the newest and only forward deployed amphibious squadron in the U.S. Navy. Based out of Sasebo, Japan, the squadron consists of four ships with the flagship amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) at its core. PHIBRON 11 is permanently embarked aboard Bonhomme Richard which has made port calls not only in Japan, but all around the western Pacific. Those visits include Australia, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Malaysia, to name a few.

Established in the early 1960's for the Cuban Blockade, the USS HERMITAGE (LSD-34) was the flagship for COMPHIBRON TWELVE serving in the Atlantic fleet and in the Caribbean and Mediterranean Seas. COMPHIBRON TWELVE included the USS FRANCIS MARION (LPA-249). USS GUADACANAL (LPH-7), and USS BOXER (LHD-4).

Picked this up recently which has a little age to it.  It measures 4 1/2" by 4 3/4".
