Austin_Militaria Posted October 20, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 20, 2017 Picked up a nice little group from Stalag Luft 3 yesterday. Included one of his POW tags. The coolest item is the 1914 dated German Mark Note (short snorter) that has signatures of other prisoners of Luft 3 that I verified from the POW database. My guess is he got the Mark from a guard since it had no value and collected signatures. The archives at the University of Pennsylvania has his log book that he kept while imprisoned. He was captured March 23rd, the day before the Great Escape from Luft 3. He still probably did not arrive there until several days later. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
