rd12 Posted October 10, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2017 I had a chance this past weekend to visit the Pima Air and Space Museum and would highly recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in Southern AZ. Museum consists of numerous hangars and a huge outdoor display. Pretty incredible collection, most of the aircraft I had only ever seen in pictures. http://www.pimaair.org/ Bob Davis Secretary, Arizona Chapter, The Orders and Medals Research Society ASMIC Member #5364, OVMS Member #11939 US Army Infantry 2001-2009, OIF/OEF Veteran

Backtheattack Posted October 10, 2017 Share #3 Posted October 10, 2017 Looks like a great museum. Hope I can visit the USA again next time, so much to visit, so much to see, and when I remember the last visit less time to have a look at all I want.
BEAST Posted October 10, 2017 Share #4 Posted October 10, 2017 It is an excellent museum, lots of A-2s on display. But for those of you who like four legged transport, make sure you check out The Museum of the Horse Soldier in Tucson also. http://museumofthehorsesoldier.com/ " We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm. The Meatcan Posted October 10, 2017 Share #5 Posted October 10, 2017 I've visited the Pima museum a couple times over the past 25 years and it never disappoints. Fabulous collection! RD12 - totally concur on that B-58. Super cool to see one in person! Thanks for posting. Terry to all who have served!
bobgee Posted October 10, 2017 Share #6 Posted October 10, 2017 One of the really great Aviation Museums. Put it on "DON'T MISS IT!" Grant S. Posted October 11, 2017 Share #7 Posted October 11, 2017 You can do a virtual walk-through of much of the display using Google street view. It's not immediately apparent how to do it, though. Approach from the parking lot and look for the blonde woman in light tan clothes, she will be your escort.
MattS Posted October 19, 2017 Share #8 Posted October 19, 2017 I went to high school in Tucson in the 80s and went there often. My last visit was in 2015 and I was amazed by how much PASM has grown! If you visit in the summer, you only have a few hours in the morning to tour the outside exhibits before the heat becomes overwhelming.
