VF 27 patch good or bad?

WWII is not my expertise, but I see things that are similar to Vietnam era reproductions.

 

For one thing, why is it so dirty if it has never been sewn on anything?

The patch I think is froma batch a man in England some years back was offering for sale all sorts of WW2 era Squadrom emblems,AAF/USN/USMC , he had them made in large lots of the various unti/services an was selling them as "repros" , and they were made o the same machines the WW2 era ones were and same materials, it does look cose to the site you posted, but the sewing details are bit different , either way I'd venture it's not of WW2 manufacture .......

The man that made the patches is an englishman named Andrew Butler. There are numerous forum posts on him and his products.

The patch in the OP went for about $120 so roughly the same price.

 

33 pounds is actually about $44 so $120 is highway robbery.
