doyler Posted October 8, 2017 Author Share #11 Posted October 8, 2017 THanks Rick Reading a few of the letters from late 1945 gives a bit of insight into the frustration he was having as he mentions to his wife about when they will be sent home and it keeps getting delayed. He speaks of having more points than others who had been sent home, being assigned to the 100th Infantry or the 83rd Inf Div to process home.He speaks of getting home possibly by December then it turns to January of 46. Dogsbody Posted October 8, 2017 Share #14 Posted October 8, 2017 Hi Ron, that's a very impressive grouping. I especially like the amount of letters that comes with it. Those letters usually give a good insight in the person and in the circumstances they find themselves in. Rene Never give in - never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Churchill Keep buggering on.
