He numbered many of the letters in the upper corner.Appears he wrote daily.

Have gone through about 30 letters and he speaks of daily activity, lack of mail and missing his wife, attending shows etc.

This one is from Belgium in January of 45.

THanks Rick

Reading a few of the letters from late 1945 gives a bit of insight into the frustration he was having as he mentions to his wife about when they will be sent home and it keeps getting delayed. He speaks of having more points than others who had been sent home, being assigned to the 100th Infantry or the 83rd Inf Div to process home.He speaks of getting home possibly by December then it turns to January of 46.

Hi Ron, that's a very impressive grouping. I especially like the amount of letters that comes with it. Those letters usually give a good insight in the person and in the circumstances they find themselves in.

Nice complete grouping Ron, really nice. I like the laundry marked sheath. Concentration camp photos always very powerful - can't imagine.

Great grouping, Ron! Judging by the size and completeness of everything, it looks like you've done a great job of keeping everything together.

Nice group Ron,

Finding it from a source or just finding it among your vast collection?

Thanks for sharing,
