phantomfixer Posted October 4, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2017 What did motor oil come in for motor pool use during the war? Was it shipped in 55 gallon drums and pumped out as needed? Any pics of 1 quart USGI cans during the war? I have seen 70s era US cans... Commercially 1 qt cans were available...did the US military use 1 qt cans? thanks all
hbtcoveralls Posted October 4, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 4, 2017 Packaged a number of ways. I've seen 5gallon cans and I know that 55 gallon cans were used too I have a 1 quart can dated 1944 and it's square rather than round It's buried in the collection right now or I'd take a photo. Check some of the topics on the G503 webside especially the gerry can topic and the tools forum for more photos Tom Bowers
