Been through some pics i saved .

and found what i Believe is a 9th merrowed edge patch this pic was taken in 1970.

Thanks for posting.

Hard to tell but could be. It's the right time period for sure. Cool that here wearing Sgt. stripes on his sleeves and not collar this late war.

Cap Camouflage Pattern I

Came back to this fantastic shirt today. You may have seen this before but in case you haven't.

POYNETTE/LODI - Steven Lucas Bloxham, age 61, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 after a lingering illness.

He was born on July 27, 1948 in Park Ridge, Ill. the son of Ray and Connie (Beth) Bloxham. Steve was a U.S. Army veteran and served Gallantly and with Distinction in the Republic of Viet Nam with the Black Scarf Battalion. [1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division] He learned the locksmith trade as an apprentice and operated his own business in Illinois for several years. He moved to Wisconsin and was a co-manager of the Sunset Resort and later the Bayview Bar and Motel. Steve was also well known as the Lake Wisconsin Locksmith. He was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast and enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with his family. On May 7, 2009 he was united in marriage to the former Colleen Patterson.

There were three different types of Infantry NCO Candidate Course classes at Fort Benning while the program was in effect. The majority of the candidates graduated from the 11 Bravo (Light Weapons Infantrymen) course. My father was one of those. In addition, there was an 11 Charlie course (Indirect Fire Infantryman) and 11 Foxtrot (Infantry Operations and Intelligence). Bloxham graduated from the 11 Foxtrot course which would go along with his service in a Recon unit.
