Are these Gunner Wings WW2 or ?

Recommended Posts

What are the reader's opinions on these wings? Are they period WW2? I question the flatback/solid feature as it would seem that would have to be cast instead of stamped with a die? There also is a void in the center of the bullet that is not quality work. Repro, restrike or original WW2? Thanks for the comments.

EDIT: Pictures are lost

WWII gunner wings, not a problem with them that I can see. I believe they are likely made by Amcraft, but we had a recent thread where others (John  ) disagreed. Still, they look fine.

I agree with Patrick on the wings being WW2 as for the maker GEMSCRAFT ;)

I've seen several Gunners wings over the years with this slight dimple on the bullet. Does anyone know an explanation for that?

That is something I see on most examples I have seen. Maybe just a flaw that was not fixed or... think.gif

Maybe Joe W has an answer for this one but I think he is a bit busy tonight.
