Manchu Warrior Posted September 16, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 16, 2017 I got this new in the bag US Army blanket from the same dealer I purchased the two cots that I listed last week. He informed that he got all the items from the same estate sale and everything was Vietnam War related. Obviously I don't want to open the bag and my questiion is can anyone possibly tell me what era the blanket is from by the information on the tag in the bag? Thanks! phantomfixer Posted September 17, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2017 if the tag matches the blanket, the 11digit NSN puts its late 50s to early 1970s?? I think they switched to the 13 digit NSN in 74 ish

With that said I have to go on the information you provided, which I appreciate. Thanks!
KRIS FORD Posted February 28, 2018 Share #4 Posted February 28, 2018 I recall our USN gray ones were made by UNICOR Prison Industries! HUGE morale booster!

With regard to this bagged blanket, I'd be comfortable stating it was issued for use during VN, along with the cots you got.
