FROM A WHITE DRESS HAT, PART OF A UNI GROUPING, THESE SEEM MORE 1930s/WWII THAN 1920s. THO NO DATE OF THE CAP THE UNIS (DRESS BLUE AND 'ALPHAS' ARE '42 AND '44 DATED. THO SOME I DIDNT GET ARE KORWAR. COMMENTS ON THE EGA PLEASE AND ANY INFO ON RENTZ. ALL MY SEARCHES TURN UP THE BOOKS OR MAG ARTICLES, NOTHING ON HIS BIO OR EVEN HIS BURIAL OR OBIT. MANY THANKS FOR ALL HELP! Badge51 Posted August 8, 2021 Share #9 Posted August 8, 2021 Inimicus Lt Col John Nevin Rentz Sr was my birth father. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his heroic and exemplary service in Korea. Sadly, He passed away from a heart attack on Nov 6, 1976. He is buried in Baltimore National Cemetery. He wrote several published historical accounts of Marine battles in the South Pacific in the Solomon Islands Attached is his newspaper obituary and article about his military service.
