Maj. McRoy Posted September 14, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2017 Just got this on eBay after some tough negotiating. It seems to be a much nicer find than the standard A-4 and comes with provenance;
Jumpin Jack Posted September 15, 2017 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2017 I have one virtually identical to the above made by the same company, only it has a different leather pattern, and is designated "TYPE MB-1" Other than the difference in the leather, why the different type designation? Maj. McRoy Posted September 15, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted September 15, 2017 I'm not too familiar with these, but I'm assuming the "A" designation refers to AAF. I have no idea what the prefix "MB" stands for and couldn't find anything on it with a brief internet search. I'm only guessing here, but yours might be a basic Army briefcase, and not as such an AAF Navigation Case. Hoping someone more knowledgeable will be able to clear that up.
