kammo-man Posted September 11, 2017 #26 Posted September 11, 2017 The bootie in the window says it all. owen
anton67 Posted September 12, 2017 Author #27 Posted September 12, 2017 The vet's son has more items which he is selling to me. He told me that his son (the vet's Grandson) got most of the high end items. There are still some gems left. I will be picking up another helmet and some knick knacks on Friday and I will post them. I actually think the helmet that I am buying Friday is the one shown in the window.
anton67 Posted September 16, 2017 Author #28 Posted September 16, 2017 More from the same vet. This is the helmet from the window display.
anton67 Posted September 17, 2017 Author #33 Posted September 17, 2017 The second helmet I picked up is the same one in the photo of the store front.
katieony Posted September 18, 2017 #34 Posted September 18, 2017 Wow, some really great finds...congratulations!
anton67 Posted September 19, 2017 Author #35 Posted September 19, 2017 Thank you for your kind comments
ccmax Posted October 2, 2017 #36 Posted October 2, 2017 There seems to be a lot of blood in the liner.
anton67 Posted October 3, 2017 Author #37 Posted October 3, 2017 I honestly think it was poor storage.
sundance Posted October 3, 2017 #38 Posted October 3, 2017 Very nice items and a great bit of history. I'd like to hope it was poor storage.
Joegiant128 Posted October 3, 2017 #39 Posted October 3, 2017 There was a store in Waverly NY with a similar type display. Was this store anywhere near there?
ccmax Posted October 5, 2017 #40 Posted October 5, 2017 Was there an SS smock on the display? Next to the tripod...
30Cal.M1 Posted December 22, 2017 #41 Posted December 22, 2017 Thats a fantastic helmet, thank you for sharing!
anton67 Posted June 23, 2018 Author #43 Posted June 23, 2018 I picked up a few other bring back items from the same vet. I had to save up to afford them and his son graciously waited for me.
anton67 Posted June 23, 2018 Author #48 Posted June 23, 2018 more Only negative on binoculars is that the one plastic piece that holds the lens in place cracked so the vet used electrical tape to hold it on.
