KurtA Posted February 17, 2007 Share #1 Posted February 17, 2007 This is an interesting recent flea market "junk box find." Apparently a lapel badge (between the size of a nickel and a quarter) given to the next of kin of a soldier killed in WW1. It was presented by the people of Gloucester County, New Jersey in honor of one W.S. Cheeseman. Made by Whitehead & Hoag of Newark, NJ. Must have some gold content, as it's very heavy. I haven't had any luck researching him so far (inquiries at the Gloucester Co Library and their Historical Society haven't turned anything up).
