USdog Posted August 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2017 Got this little group not too long ago. A first two front marine for me. Marine served in ETO from 1942-1943, at the American Embassy in London and also in Rosneath, Scotland. Went back stateside and ended up with Company F, 24th Marines. Made it to Kwajalein and Saipan, where he was wounded in action on June 29, 1944. He may have also been on Tinian, but am not positive. Lighter is English made which makes sense for where he was. cperkins510 Posted August 31, 2017 Share #2 Posted August 31, 2017 Another great piece, Connor! Any idea what he was doing in Rosneath, Scotland? Definitely seems like a very unique place to be stationed.
USdog Posted August 31, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted August 31, 2017 Thanks Chris! I'm not really sure what exactly he was doing in Scotland. I know there was a Naval Base there, but that's about it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

cperkins510 Posted August 31, 2017 Share #5 Posted August 31, 2017 Very interesting! Sounds like he must have been part of the base guard detatchment or something along those lines.
