Got this little group not too long ago. A first two front marine for me.

Marine served in ETO from 1942-1943, at the American Embassy in London and also in Rosneath, Scotland. Went back stateside and ended up with Company F, 24th Marines. Made it to Kwajalein and Saipan, where he was wounded in action on June 29, 1944. He may have also been on Tinian, but am not positive.

Lighter is English made which makes sense for where he was.

Another great piece, Connor! Any idea what he was doing in Rosneath, Scotland? Definitely seems like a very unique place to be stationed.

Thanks Chris! I'm not really sure what exactly he was doing in Scotland. I know there was a Naval Base there, but that's about it.

Very interesting! Sounds like he must have been part of the base guard detatchment or something along those lines.
