Cool beans. :) Also, in post #7 there is a model of a building on the top of the shelf. Is that a model of The Citadel, down in South Carolina?

- Jeff

Yep. More precisely That would be Second Battalion, although I was actually in First Bn., Delta Company-they all looked the same to mom. My mom got that for me when I was a firstclassmen there (senior private, that is!)

Neat, I have an old military parade hat from the Citadel. It looks to have been around at least since WWII.

EXCELLENT! Very classy display indeed and it looks like such a warm room where one could spend hours reading and admiring history. Thank you for sharing.

Superb layout, and super items. There is nothing wrong with the way you display your PH groupings. I have many small groupings in riker cases with a colored background. It makes for ease of changing things around and also ensures that the items that belong together, stay together. Very nice.

No, I think he must be talking about Wisconsin. ;)

Yep, that's definitely "old corps!" You just need a "donkey's dick" for the top (aka: a plume). I like it!

Great collection!......in post #8 is that an early 101st patch?......mike

Yep, that's a 101 patch. It's one of the few WWI patches I have. Picked it up when I was about 18 years old. I'm not all that convinced that's it's not a repro.

Took a couple more pics of some groupings. Hope you enjoy!

This one is a named Bronze Star Grouping. Unfortunately, NARA was unable to give me any info. Record must've been lost to the fire.

Some of my favorites! Airborne patches. Am not too positive about the cap patches, but the rest are real WWII.

Some Navy/MC Pilot wings. As the old saying goes, "Navy wings are made of gold, and Army wings are made of lead." Sadly, post-297-1225909747.jpgI have no name or info on the MC grouping on the right.

Some PUC's. Does anyone know why the two MC PUC's top center are so much larger? They are pinback and seem to be WWII.
