nbolinger Posted August 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted August 9, 2017 Picked these up yesterday , never had any with eagles or Masonic symbols on them before, could these be pre Civil War?

TheMariner Posted August 10, 2017 Share #8 Posted August 10, 2017 It is possible they are pre war possibly 1840s they wouldnt be any earlier then that! Those pipes would fall under the Civil War Era American produced clay pipes though! The eagle motif is very desirable! I would say you have a $30-$40 dollar pipe there maybe even more! The eagle ones do come up from time to time but the sell very quick! I saw one other in a civil war camp dug lot recently so that helps with dating also!
