I almost took this to a show for sale once as it was a duplicate. Pulled it out to check the date and then pulled the cup from the carrier....never know what hides in the canteen carrier. doyler Posted August 6, 2017 Author Share #21 Posted August 6, 2017 Doing a bit of quick looking may have found him Dr.Herman H Rhoad 1909-1951 He is buried in(Rippey Ia) Green County and head stone states he was a Lt.Colonel. THe area is very close to where the items were purchased.
