1930s USAAF Sheepskin Lined Balloon Moccasin Boots

These are the best thing I've found recently. I think they could be late 30s early WWII blimp or balloon boots. They are sheepskin lined and full moccasin construction, so no rubber sole to them whatsoever.

There is a very faint 'ARMY AIR FORCES' winged star decal on each boot. They are made by Palmer-McLellan Co. Ltd. Fredericton N.C.?

Beautiful boots, I've only seen a similar pair branded USN, they had zip at rear and laces up front.

I also found this picture of a blimp crew in the 1930s wearing very similar boots, but with a strap and buckle front.

Any thoughts as to rarity and value?? You see lots of the rubber soled sheepskin boots, but not many of these. Anyway any input would be greatly appreciated,

AG
