Sembler Chenille patches made by Gemsco - Reference Topic

Recommended Posts

Aloha Everyone,

From time to time these patches come up on the boards, usually on the Can You ID forum. In the 1930's and 1940's Gemsco had another manufacturing division known as Sembler which made Chenille patches for Athletics and Sportswear, many of which were military themed.

As a reference for us all, please post any examples you come across.

Interesting! I have one of the medical caduceus patches in a WWII combat medic group, although the colors are a bit different. The US Army patch was also in the group. It is done on black felt. I always thought they were post war reunion/veteran piece...

I will pay top dollar for original WWII items pertaining to:

OSS Maritime Unit

Scouts and Raiders
