AndrewA74 Posted October 27, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 27, 2008 Hello, I got this a little while ago for $2, and was wondering how old this puppy is...Vietnam? It can be turned from white light to red light via the head on it. Any ideas? Thanks. Andrew

hawkdriver Posted October 27, 2008 Share #5 Posted October 27, 2008 Before Mini-maglights were available, that is what pilots were issued for personal pen lights. They were stored inside the long pocket on the inside left thigh of the flight suit. They were horrible concoctions as they gave off poor light and were cheap. The heads tended to break off at the most in opportune moments. When the mini-mags come out, you had the choice of buying one or getting those crappy lights, so most elected to buy the miini-mag, however, they didn't fit well in the thigh pocket, so now days, that thigh pocket typically goes empty.
