Reforger Posted July 25, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 25, 2017 I just have to share this BSM. I was looking for a WWII period officially engraved BSM for a while and finally found one. The engraving looks a little different than most of the BSMs I've seen, but it's done very well. According to a newspaper article from Oct. 1945, he received the BSM as a Lt. Col. "for meritorious achievement in connection with military operations against the enemy in New Guinea from October 2, 1942, until September 5, 1944." and "as division adjutant general, was responsible for the establishment of a highly efficient administrative organization. He supervised its work in such a manner as to demonstrate administrative abilities of the highest order. His excellent work contributed materially to the success of the New Guinea campaign."
