AirMechanic Posted July 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 22, 2017 This was another recent flea market find. I found this patch to be unusual because it is rather thick. In addition, on the red cloth portion of the shield, there feels like there is a very thin piece of flexible metal or something similar behind the cloth, but only on either side of the hand. I can hear it spring back when I press on it, and I believe it is there to give the patch some depth perception or perhaps stiffness, as it pushes the red cloth out slightly. Has anyone seen anything like that before? Was this patch theater made in Vietnam or perhaps a repro made for the tourists? (sorry, I couldn't rotate the patch upright for some aggravating technical reason)

vintageproductions Posted July 22, 2017 Share #3 Posted July 22, 2017 Newer copy also, probably made in Vietnam also.
