Posted July 21, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 21, 2017 Ken, These date to the 1950's/ Most of the ones you will encounter are simply painted on aluminum, but your example here is one of the private purchased enameled examples. THis one represents the 511th Airborne Infantry. I would suggest that this piece was probably made in Germany when the 11th was stationed there.
