gwb123 Posted July 15, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2017 I am guessing it is for a detachment D of a USAF Air Police or Security Police squadron. Apparently there was a 3546th APS, but I am not finding much about it on the internet.

I always thought it was 354 B/D.
gwb123 Posted July 15, 2017 Share #4 Posted July 15, 2017 354th SPS, with combined B and D detachments is another possibility.

gwb123 Posted July 16, 2017 Share #6 Posted July 16, 2017 I started chasing down the designation 354th Security Police Squadron. On this page you will see they were at Kunson, ROK, and then deactivated in 1970. http://www.usafpolice.org/deactivated-units.html On this page you will see they were organic to the 354th Fighter Wing. The wing was transferred in pieces from Myrtle Beach, FL to Vietnam and Kunson in 1968. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/354th_Fighter_Wing The designation is now carried by the 354th Security Forces Squadron, Eielson Air Force Base, outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. http://www.eielson.af.mil/About-Us/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/382388/354th-security-forces-squadron/

I couldn't find any connection between the 354th SPS & Korea. THe closest I could find was when they sent units to Vietnam, 354th TFW.But those were fighter squadrons that ended up being attached to another wing. So it looks like it's going to be a SPS pin? I remember the SPS units at Clark had flights named after animals but I can only remember a COBRA Flight.
