stevenkelly Posted July 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2017 Hello I have seen Viet Nam US paratrooper helmet that does not have the anchor but the letter "P". I have been told that the company that made the chinstraps that stamped the chinstrap went out of business in 1969; In the interum the chinstrap hardware was stamped with the letter "P" If this is true any help will be appreciated best regards Stev
WW2JAKE Posted July 15, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 15, 2017 P marked chinstraps are from Parish and are post vietnam war. P is parishblank is Gulf and Westernand the anchor is North and Judd (which was bought out by Gulf and Western)Edit: Parish straps will also come off more gray than those of North and Judd or Gulf and Western.
