phillock Posted July 12, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 12, 2017 Final one All comments welcomed. I believe all 3 squadrons (25th, 44th and 67th) were on TDY? Again all comments welcomed and also show the good the bad and ugly!! cheers Phill

pelseth Posted July 12, 2017 Share #3 Posted July 12, 2017 I'm not knowledgeable about these patches, but that is a beauty!
Randy Posted July 12, 2017 Share #4 Posted July 12, 2017 Another 1970s era one from Kadena, probably made on Okinawa. Randy
firefighter Posted July 13, 2017 Share #5 Posted July 13, 2017 Looks like the one I picked up in Osan in '85. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
Randy Posted July 13, 2017 Share #6 Posted July 13, 2017 Looks like the one I picked up in Osan in '85. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk Yep, lots of similarities with this style of manufacture. All of these 3 he posted look from the same time frame in the mid 70s, so most likely Okinawan. Once they got F-15s and started pulling alert in Korea in the early 80s, almost all their stuff was done there. Here's a Korean made on with all the units from the alert det. Note the 25 TFS was gone, it never made the conversion to F-15s. Randy

phillock Posted July 14, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted July 14, 2017 Thanks Randy Much appreciated about the info and believe all 3 are Okinawan made. Here is a Ace Novelty style 67th FS. This was given to a great friend and mentor in summer 1967 by an F-105 pilot just arrived at Nellis AFB where he was stationed. Please feel free to post more variations ,styles and comments of any of the 3 squadrons posted. Also much appreciated to Johnny for posting WWII-67th. Personally I like a chronology of patches (no matter what service) to show the great history of all 3 squadrons posted. cheers Phill
Randy Posted July 15, 2017 Share #9 Posted July 15, 2017 Phill- Nice one, but I believe this is 60s era Okinawan made, not ACE, most likely F-105 just like you stated. It seems the longer we were there the quality of the patches went down. Earlier Okie ones were really well done. I don't think the 67th ever made 2 patches alike! There are sooooo many variations it boggles the mind. Between Japan, Korea, and Okinawan versions you could easily accumulate 50+ versions on the TFS era patch. I'll post one more that is pretty different, Okinawan made.
