tankdriver Posted July 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 9, 2017 Are there any "active" Military Radio Forums left on the internet? Most of the ones I have found have not had a new post in 5 or more years. Is the Military Radio dead as a Hobby?
robinb Posted July 9, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 9, 2017 I collect WW2 Signal Corps radios but I don't speak the language. I know what thing goes to which radio, but as far as making them work I'm clueless.
tankdriver Posted July 9, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted July 9, 2017 I just picked up 2 SCR-358 / BC611 Handi Talkie at the MVPA Convention, and they look brand new. They use 2 batteries, 1 the size if a double long D cell, but 1.5 volt, and 1 square and long that is 103.7 volts. The batteries are no longer made, but bought 2 power inverters from a guy in Italy. They are both on the way. Looking at them, they are in really like new condition, and should work. If they are set up on the same frequency. So I am trying some accessories, and crystal boxes, and parts. They will look good hanging on the window shield of my WC53, and the second one on the shield of the 57mm.....
