I picked this up today, I thought it was pretty unusual. Clearly seen are the "hate belt" and the German Iron cross that must have been pinned through his button hole. Sadly no ID on this one. But a unique example of an early souvenir hunter who was not afraid to show it!

That's a really interesting shot. I don't see any indication of what unit he was with. Is there anything I'm missing. Great looking frame.

It looks like he is just wearing the 3 button wool shirt, with the stand collar. So no unit info.

This just in- my picker called me with some more WW1 stuff and he was able to get the original photo and the WI Soldier's name and city!
