Bebel Posted July 9, 2017 Share #9 Posted July 9, 2017 Nice pair of the second model of USN fliying boots. The first model had soles with the lined design. The early type of those boots was the "Arrowhead" model designed for Mk IV high pressure suit. They had a zipper to open/close. However, they have been used by some USN / USMC flyers without the high pressure suit. I've been lucked enough to get three pairs from the same NFO, some years ago. hink441 Posted October 23, 2019 Author Share #13 Posted October 23, 2019 Nice pair of the second model of USN fliying boots. RLR 036 USMF.jpg Ever since Bebel showed us the "Arrowhead" high pressure suit boots I have been on a hunt for a pair. These boots were pretty hard to find. I finally found a pair of the MK IV "Arrowhead" boots listed as vintage "motorcycle boots" on eBay. They are in remarkable condition and have a 1962 date inside. Here is a picture of the boots and a picture of the same type boot being worn by a Naval Aviator in 1961.
