EGA Pin Back what do we have here please

Hi EGA collectors, a friend of mine has this EGA pin back and would like details of year of manufacture etc, sorry there is no markings of any sort on it. Would be pleased to hear your thoughts on it, Thanks

Nice USMC Officer's Right side Dress collar or epaulettes ornament. Appears from the traces of silver on the reverse to have been a dress emblem with the gilt almost gone. I would date it, due to the open hook clasp, absence of applied continents, to before WWI.

Hi Bobgee & Darrell, thank you both for the information you offered on this pin back EGA, much appreciated, occaisionly I see people asking for identification on various items and get not replies, but never on EGA's there always appears to be good information forthcoming.
