bryang Posted June 26, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 26, 2017 OK, so this is one of those weird odd-ball items I imagine collectors may not consider - but I picked up two of these U.S. Army chow hall vegetable sacks. I had to get these ...

mikie Posted July 1, 2017 Share #4 Posted July 1, 2017 Cool! I bet that's worth it's weight in 24 carrot gold. Sorry, I just couldn't resist. Mikie

Sgt. BARney Posted July 2, 2017 Share #6 Posted July 2, 2017 Are they made of burlap? Very neat - never seen one before.
Capt.Confederacy Posted July 2, 2017 Share #7 Posted July 2, 2017 OK, so this is one of those weird odd-ball items I imagine collectors may not consider - but I picked up two of these U.S. Army chow hall vegetable sacks. I like 'em. Today's "oddball item" could be tomorrow's ultra rare item. After all, how many vegetable sacks would be saved and not tossed in the trash? I found a WW2 army flour sack (a definite oddity) years ago and have yet to see another.
