Cavdoc83 Posted June 23, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 23, 2017 What was the paint color for Army vehicles during the mid to late 1930's? I get the impression that it was a darker shade of olive than the wartime paint scheme.
MilitariaKollektor Posted June 23, 2017 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2017 Hi Cavdoc83, You might have seen this before. This is a colored film clip of US Army vehicles on maneuvers at West point sometime 1939. It looks like a dark olive green almost bronze green but the the color shifts depending on the exposure. Most of the vehicles are clean. It also looks like the paint is Glossy or semi gloss. I hope it helps.
Backtheattack Posted June 24, 2017 Share #3 Posted June 24, 2017 Great clip, thank you very much. Did a look at the pics I made when I was there in 2007, and feel a storm of memory.
