Early paint color

What was the paint color for Army vehicles during the mid to late 1930's? I get the impression that it was a darker shade of olive than the wartime paint scheme.

Hi Cavdoc83,

 

You might have seen this before. This is a colored film clip of US Army vehicles on maneuvers at West point sometime 1939. It looks like a dark olive green almost bronze green but the the color shifts depending on the exposure. Most of the vehicles are clean. It also looks like the paint is Glossy or semi gloss. I hope it helps.
