Today, I thought it would be fitting to share the only father and son pair I have in my collection: General James Van Fleet and Captain James Van Fleet, Jr. General Van Fleet commanded all United Nations forces during the Korean War. His son, Captain James Van Fleet, Jr. of the United States Air Force was a B-26 bomber pilot who took part in the same war, but went missing and was eventually reported killed in action. On the left is General Van Fleet's Korean War era shirt (all insignia with the exception of the patches was added for display) and his son, Captain James Van Fleet, Jr's West Point coat.
