USdog Posted June 11, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 11, 2017 This one just came in the mail yesterday. A few days after the anniversary, but thought I'd post it anyways. Veteran served in Company B, 121st Engineers. On D-Day, his unit was attached to the 116th Infantry on the Dog Green Sector of Omaha Beach. On the beach he was hit in the chest by a German sniper, which took him out of action. He luckily survived the war.
