ocsfollowme Posted June 10, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2017 This is going to be my 2nd colorization project. Thanks in advance. I only know patches. What type of jacket is this so that I can search for proper colors? Also, would you say that is a gabardine style hat? Thank you!

falcon_ib Posted June 10, 2017 Share #3 Posted June 10, 2017 Jacket is an Army M1941 field jacket (officially called Jacket, Field, OD). Correct shade is Olive Drab #2 and here's a link to some info on original M1941s: https://www.atthefrontshop.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=449 The 7th Photo Recon Squadron trained pilots and technicians for photo recon stateside during WW2. Hope this helps, Evan

ocsfollowme Posted July 2, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted July 2, 2017 I finally got around to working on this photo today. Still have to work on all of the threads of the jacket, tone the pipe, do the aviation piping in the hat, and do all of the skin tones. And make all of the blacks actually black.
