He was in a mortar squad, Landed on Omaha Beach D-Day at 10:30PM was at St Lo, then to St Vith, which he said was about 3 feet of snow and 20 Below temp wise. I will let the pics do the talking. I couldn't help but notice the photos and wonder why it's so common for older folks to write their names ON TOP OF original photos? I loved my grandmother very much but when she sent me a photo of one of her brothers in France in WW1, she'd written his name right over the top of two other guys with a ball point pen.
