The company was purchased by Shields, Inc of Attleboro, MA in 1957 and ceased operations sometime in the 1960s. It seems that Volupte made mostly jewelry, ladies compacts and some military insignia. The hallmark used on military insignia was a letter V inside a circle. Here is a close up example of the circle V on a master parachute badge. The front and backs of all three parachute badges are shown below. This hallmark is sometimes confused with Vanguard which used V-1 and V21.
